The Parish is committed to supporting the work of the church overseas as well as here in the United Kingdom.

Text Box: Christian Aid is an agency of the churches in the UK and Ireland. Christian Aid works wherever the need is greatest – irrespective of religion or race.
We support Christian Aid by our prayers, and financially. Every Lent we hold a weekly lunch of soup, bread and cheese and donate the proceeds of this and other fund raising to the work of Christian Aid.

CYTUN (Churches together in Ely & Caerau) brings local Christians together to work for Christian Aid, and the local Cytun is represented on the central Cardiff Christian Aid Committee by the treasurer of the Parish of Caerau with Ely.

An annual ecumenical service helps us ensure that we come together for prayer as well as fund raising.

USPG has  a successful 300-year track record of enabling people to grow spiritually, to thrive physically and to have a voice in an unjust world.

They do this in partnership with churches around the world, providing the resources - people, money and ideas - that they define as necessary to meet local needs.

We raise money in the parish through collections in Lent, and by regular coffee mornings.

Each week in Lent we learn from the USPG course about Christians in other parts of the world, and we pray for them in their witness to Jesus.

For more than 100 years the Delhi Brotherhood Society has been reaching out to the marginalised, the excluded and the poor in the slums of Delhi. The Brotherhood tries to meet the needs of these vulnerable people by helping them to become self sufficient and reclaim a sense of dignity and self esteem.
