The why and wherefore of the virtual fair! A reminder of some… and for others ‘a useful idea’.

For those who are not sure what the Virtual Fair is, we will explain – it was found that the usual small number of ‘volunteers’ spend considerable time organising and running the Bazaar each year, which unfortunately because of the busy-ness of life, was often poorly attended. Those then who had worked so hard setting up the Bazaar then spent all of their own money on the stalls which they had actually set up. With reluctance, it was decided that it would be easier for parishioners to put aside 40/50p each week and donate this (usually about £20/£25 over the year) to the Parish at the Virtual Fair or to place the donation into the normal collection plate, suitable enveloped and labelled. Of course, if you are a taxpayer, don’t forget to Gift Aid your donation.
