Fish and Chip Supper
0Fish and Chip Supper is on Saturday 26th November. If you are attending please indicate your choice of food along with payment on the sheets at the back of church or contact Darren Bradley.
Night at the Races
0Place your bets for a great night at the races. If you would like food then there is a choice of pie with mash – chicken and mushroom, steak or corned beef and potato at the bargain price of £2.50. A sausage option is available.
Eight races are planned with bets set at a mere 50 pence. Before the race you have the opportunity to sponsor a horse and even become its owner at a cost of £2.50. The owner of the winning horse will also receive a prize.
Fancy sponsoring a race for a cost of £10.00 – or do you know a business that may be interested in sponsoring a race? If so, please contact Darren. Race sponsorship will include one meal if the person / representative is attending as a ‘thank you’ gift.
AS the meeting draws to an end all ‘losing tickets’ will be placed in a lottery… The winner of which will win ownership of the horse.
Soft drinks will be on sale throughout the evening, but you may also wish to bring ‘drinks’ of your own choice.

Go on….!
0Go on….! Go on, you know you want to! – Be extravagant, express gratitude with flowers – or coffee or candles or biscuits…. As we’ve been saying for many months now, our income for the cost of paying our share and bills in Church is never going down and always going up. One consequence of this is that we need to rely more on direct and specific donations for lots of the things we do, rather than on money in the bank. So here’s where you come in. In addition to your weekly contributions, we’d like to ask for your support for specific extras – with the flowers, votive candles, the Church magazine and after-Church tea – there’s lots more, if you’re interested. Why not, in memory of a loved one, or as a special thank offering for something (a wedding, baptism, or something else) sponsor the week’s flowers, or the votive candles we use, or the coffee or tea? If it’s a votive candle, you’ll get a certificate recognising the person for whom we are praying, which will be displayed at the back of Church. If you’d like to sponsor flowers (or tea or coffee etc) for someone, then that can go on the week’s newssheet. So go on, be extravagant, go wild! You know it’s worth it.
