Book Club
Every though about joining a book club?
The Parish has a book club for one Sunday evening every other month to discuss our chosen book. Come and join us for fun, fellowship, tea and biscuits and an interesting discussion. Books are varied with differing genres, secular and christian titles and fact and fiction. If there’s a book you’d like to read and discuss why not come along with your suggestion. So far we’ve read and discussed ’The Life of Pi’ by Yann Martel and ‘Love Wins’ by Rob Bell.
Keep up to date on the book we’re reading and the date and venue of the next meeting by following this site and referring to the comments below.

The next book club is at Rob & Claire’s house (49 Camrose Road) at 6pm on Sunday 13th November where we will be discussing ‘The Shack’ by William P Young.
“Mackenzie Allen Philips’ youngest daughter, Missy, has been abducted during a family vacation and evidence that she may have been brutally murdered is found in an abandoned shack deep in the Oregon wilderness. Four years later in the midst of his great sadness, Mack receives a suspicious note, apparently from God, inviting him back to that shack for a weekend.
Against his better judgement he arrives at the shack on a wintry afternoon and walks back into his darkest nightmare. What he finds there will change Mack’s world forever.”
Contact Sarah Dowling or Fr Jesse for further information to borrow a copy of book.
